PG DISCIPLINE-WISE INTAKE (AS PER THE YEAR 2025-26)

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

B. Tech. (Dairy Technology)

The admission for the B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) degree course is carried out through online/hybrid mode. The candidates who have passed 12th Standard with Science stream with 50% marks in the theory of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology altogether & with English as a compulsory subject, are eligible for admission. Candidates are must required to appear in current year GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB), Gandhinagar. Candidates get shortlisted as per the merit list prepared considering 60% weightage of 12th marks in the theory papers of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology and 40% of marks obtained in the GUJCET for the purpose of admission. Additionally, 5 marks is added for the preparation of merit list if a candidate produce certificate of milk pourers in village milk co-operative societies or involved in the animal husbandry activities. Candidate has to apply online at https://www.kamdhenuuniversity.net and also upload the necessary scanned documents/ certificates. The scrutiny of applications is done online at constituent colleges and the final merit list is published by the Registrar of the university on university website. The reservation of seats for admission is maintained as per the directives of the state government from time to time. Based on the merit, the students are called for counselling which is done via online/hybrid mode and seats are allotted to the candidates. The admission memo is issued to the candidates and are required to pay token amount of 9100/- for boys and 3100/- for girls to confirm their seats. Further, selelcted candidates have to report to the college for admission with online generated admission memo. After verification of original documents and payment of additional semester fee at college, the admission is confirmed.

M. Tech. and PhD degree programme

The advertisement for common admission to PG degree programs are published in the daily newspaper and the details are uploaded on website https://www.kamdhenuuniversity.net including key dates by Registrar KU, Gandhinagar. The interested eligible students, domicile and pass-out from Gujarat State or ICAR accredited colleges of other State as well as non-domicile pass-out students from Gujarat State shall submit prescribe fee online. Duly filled-in Admission Form along with enclosures is submitted as hard copy to “The Registrar KU,Gandhinagar” on or before prescribed last date.

Scrutiny committees shall scrutinize the applications for postgraduate admission and submit the list of eligible candidates to the Registrar, KU, Gandhinagar for uploading on website https://www.kamdhenuuniversity.net The eligible candidates shall remain present on prescribed date, time and place selected by the applicant for appearing in entrance test at their own cost for common admission to PG degree programs of KU.

The entrance test shall be offline and question papers shall comprise of 100 objective questions and duration of examination shall be of one hour and evaluation will be without any negative marking. Candidate for the admission gets selected on the basis of the merit. The merit list is prepared for eligible candidates giving 50:50 weightages to the marks of OGPA (percentage marks) of the last degree and Common Entrance Test. Additionally, the weightage for marks of sports/cultural activities is considered before preparing the merit list. Separate merit list for Gujarat domicile students pass-out from Gujarat State or ICAR accredited colleges and non-domicile of Gujarat state students pass-out from Gujarat is prepared for each degree/subject.

The candidates shall have to remain present on prescribed date, time and place communicated by the Kamdhenu University. The admission committee shall admit candidates as per his/her merit and availability of seats. Once the candidates are admitted, one may not be permitted for change of subject/college. The decision of the admission committee shall be final in all respects. Such admitted candidates have to report to the college on prescribed date. All the postgraduate seats (except ICAR Quota) shall be filled-up from the candidates of Gujarat domicile. If seats remain vacant for students of Gujarat origin, such vacant seats may be filled up by the candidates of other states who have pass-out from Gujarat State. No reshuffling round will be arranged and the admission to particular faculty will be closed on completion of admission process by the Office of the Registrar, Kamdhenu University.

FEES STRUCTURE

1. B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) : A Four Years (8 Semester) degree programme (w.e.f. 2024-25)

2. Post-graduation (M. Tech. and Ph.D) : Post-graduate degree programmes (w.e.f. 2024-25)

Fee Payment Mechanism

At the time of admission, the student has to pay prescribed fee through link received via SMS and mail sent through KU-ERP fee collection software. Additonally, students residing in the hostel are required to pay Rs. 2000 /- via SBI collect link provided to the students during the subsequent semester.

Registration Procedure

After confirmation of admission, the student has to submit his registration form to the academic branch of the college. The details of the students are verified by the college online and registration number is allotted to the student by the Registrar office of the university.

Academic Schedule Publication

Before the start of a particular semester, the academic calendar for the semester is prepared by the Dean, Faculty of Dairy Science in consultation with the principals of various colleges and notified by the Registrar and published online at university website.
