PAH Himmatnagar

The institute provides all the necessary infrastructure facilities for the extracurricular activities of the students admitted to the diploma course.

  • Well Furnished class rooms with multimedia presentation (Projector & Computers).
  • Four laboratory having all instruments & consumables required during practical teaching.
  • Library with collection of national & international books covering all subjects, magazines, daily news papers and journals.
  • A well developed computer lab along with the English language lab facilities is also available to enhance the computer skills and language proficiency of students
  • One conference and meeting hall with all facilities.
  • For extracurricular activities, facilities like volleyball play ground, sports kits, indoor games, yoga mats and gymnasium equipments are available.
  • The students excelling in the course work and training program are rewarded with different awards medals and certificates.

Library

A library has been established with sitting capacity of 20 students. There are more than 1500 books available in polytechnic library for students published by international and national publisher. There is also provision of all line book access facilities for searching required books (Soul software and J-gate facility). For improvements of English of students a English language lab is established having latest software where, students can improve listening, reading and writing English for their vertical growth.

Hostel Accommodation

The diploma students have been accommodated in Nilkanth Boy hostel (Hired on rent by Kamdhenu University) with all modern facility (Reading rooms, TV room, internet (Wi-Fi facility) facility, RO plant etc…). Girl students admitted in institute are being accommodated in Government Girls hostel. However, two separate hostels for girls and boys are being constructed at Rajpur (Nava) Himmatnagar campus.

PGIVER Himmatnagar

Research Facility:

PGIVER institute is functioning in the premises of Veterinary Hospital/Teaching Veterinary Polyclinic/Veterinary Clinical Complex/Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex at Rajpur (Nava) village of Himmatnagar taluka. At present, there are no separate department-wise facilities. The institute is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment instruments which are used to provide standard healthcare services for all types of animals, birds and reptiles. The same facilities are used to provide standard education, training and research platform for M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. students of clinical subjects. On the other hand, the PGIVER institute is using laboratory research facilities available at ‘Central Diagnostic Laboratory’ created at Polytechnic in Animal Husbandry institute, Kamdhenu University, Rajpur (Nava), Himmatnagar for conducting laboratory research.

1. Postgraduate Laboratories and Equipments:

One ‘Central Instrumentation Laboratory’ is created inside the Polytechnic in Animal Husbandry building at Rajpur (Nava), Himmatnagar where PG students can learn practical and conduct their PG research/special problem related work. The laboratory is equipped with advanced diagnostic instruments including Laminar air flow, Deep Freezer, PCR, ELISA machines, Electrophoresis equipment, Research microscopes, Hematology analyzer, Serum biochemical analyzer etc.

A state-of-art ‘Veterinary Hospital’ has been developed at Rajpur (Nava), Himmatnagar which is used as platform for conducting clinical research and imparting practical/hands-on-training to students. The hospital is equipped with following instruments. All instruments are also used to conduct research depending on the subject and topic of research work.

2. College Library (Digital):

A separate section has been created for PG students so that they can have exposure to digital learning resources. EndNoteTM(EndNote X8.2) and ‘koha’softwares have been installed in the computers at the Library at Polytechnic in Animal Husbandry building for digital learning. Besides this, CERA and J-Gate registration have also been planned for implementation in order to access world-wide research publications.

Physical Facilities:

1.Hostels:

Hostel for Boys and Girls is under construction at Rajpur (Nava) campus of Kamdhenu University. Hostel facilities developed by a private firm (contract basis) is being used to accommodate students until the construction is completed.

2.Examination Hall:

The ‘Examination Hall’ with a capacity to accommodate 100 students is being used for central examination at Polytechnic in Animal Husbandry building, Rajpur (Nava), Himmatnagar. The entire examination is being governed by use of CCTV surveillance which are recorded during examination, submitted following the examination and evaluated by constitution of CCTV footage evaluation committees.

3.Sports and Recreation Facilities:

One Volley Ball ground is developed at Polytechnic in Animal Husbandry Campus of Kamdhenu University at Rajpur (Nava), Himmatnagar for practicing and organizing PG level competition at campus level.

Gym, sport items, game equipments etc. have been purchased for Polytechnic in Animal Husbandry which are being used for PG students.

4.Auditorium

The institute is organizing different events at auditoriums/town hall of Gandhinagar city and of those institutes which have signed MoU for conducting research in collaboration with the university.

5.Exhibition Hall/Museum:

The institute does not have exhibition hall or separate museum at present; however, anatomy laboratory has been designed as an ‘Anatomy Museum’ at PAH.
