Admission Criteria

B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Programme

The admissions for B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course are carried out through online process. The candidates passing XIIth Std. (Science stream) or equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks (Total 200 marks) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English taken together and for unreserved category & 47.5% marks (190 marks) for reserved category are eligible for admission. Other criteria for admission are followed as per VCI- MSVE-2016. The admissions are based on the marks obtained by the candidate in NEET (The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) conducted by the NTA. Candidates gets shortlisted as per the merit list prepared considering marks obtained in the NEET For the purpose of admission. Candidate has to apply online on (Kamdhenu University Admission Portal ) kamdhenuuni.edu.in/admissions and also have to upload the necessary scanned documents/ certificates. The scrutiny/verification of applications is done online at constituent colleges and the final merit list is published. Out of the total intake capacity 15% seats are filled by VCI, New Delhi while, 85% of seats are filled at university level. The reservation of seats for admission is maintained as per directives of the state government from time to time. Admission process is conducted in hybrid mode after preparation of final merit list based on total marks obtained in current year NEET examination. Candidates whose name is appeared in final merit list have to be remained present at the respective centre or place decided by university. Candidates have to produce all original documents before admission committee and after confirmation of admission he/she has to pay the required fees decided by KU through online mode.

Candidate has to report at the college where he/she has got admission on the date mentioned in admission memo and has to pay remaining fees.

Fee payment mechanism

At the time of admission, the student has to pay college & hostel fees through Online/POS/Net banking etc. The University has adopted cashless transaction mechanism for payment of fee by the students since year 2017.

Registration procedure:

Candidates whose admission are confirmed and has paid required fees has to report at the respective college within stipulated time mentioned in admission memo. At the time of reporting at respective college he/she has to pay the remaining fees and submit the documents asked by college. After completion of all requirement he/she to register online on KU student portal and will be given a registration number by the KU.

Academic schedule publication OR Academic calender:

Academic calendar of each professional year will be notified by the Dean well before the commencement of each professional year and it is to be strictly adhered to.

Approved seats: (2025-26) :

VCI quota: 12 + Gujarat quota-59 + EWS-05 + Parsi-01 + NRG-01 + Kasmiri Migrant-02= Total 80.

M. V. Sc. & Ph. D. Degree Programme

The admission process for M.V.Sc. degree course is carried out Kamdhenu University of Gujarat. The candidates who have passed completed five years B.V.Sc. & A.H. course successfully is eligible for admission to M.V.Sc. Degree Course. The selection of candidate for the admission is based on the merit basis. The merit list is prepared by giving 50:50 weightage to the marks of OGPA (percentage marks) of the last degree and common entrance test examination, respectively.

Admission will be as per the following system:

• First domicile of Gujarat will be considered
• After this, the vacant seats will be filled by other state students who have passed from Agricultural universities of Gujarat. An “Entrance Test” is carried out for all interested candidates and as per the overall rank students are eligible for choice of departments and different colleges of Gujarat. Out of the total intake capacity 25% seats are filled by ICAR, New Delhi through AIEEA (PG) while,75% of seats are filled at university level.

The other details of mechanism of admission, fee payment mechanism, registration procedure and academic schedule publication are same as mentioned for undergraduate programme.
